Week 03 - Knife Final Display

After the second week, we had to texture and display/render our knife. I decided to use Marmoset Toolbag to showcase my work.

Common Art Sprint 1

For the first sprint of the spring semester for my team's common art project, Cyberstein, I was rearranging the asset list, including those who joined our team. I also started working on assets to put in the immersive experience.

Week 2 Knife - First Bake/Polycount/UVs

Honestly, I was struggling this week for something I thought would be easy. I would always forget something after I had exported the mesh between the programs. However, since it is a first bake, it won't be perfect right away. It will take several attempts to get the best baking process. Since I have to make it game ready, I managed to keep the polys low, but still lower than the minimum amount that Nick has asked for.

After fixing a few errors, I tried a second bake, which is shown in gold (I had to resculpt the handle).

Update: Here are the wireframes for the low poly

    Week 1 - Knife

For the next few weeks, we will be recreating knives as part of our small prop assignment. The knife must be foldable/retractable and have holes/screws as part of its design. I have chosen to work on this butterfly knife for this assignment.
